Jonah Primiano is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker and educator. His rotoscope films combine selective graphite rendering and precise editing resulting in visually spare works that probe the relationship between image, culture, and meaning.

His films have been screened at festivals such as Slamdance Film Festival, London International Animation Festival, Animateka International Animated Film Festival, and Tacoma Film Festival. In 2019 he began self-publishing the animation magazine Mostly Moving. In 2021 he earned an MFA in Experimental Animation from CalArts and has since returned as a Post-Graduate Teaching Fellow in the School of Film/Video. He is currently an adjunct faculty at California State University Los Angeles.
